Travel With Confidence

At Altara Retreats, we believe your peace of mind should begin long before you arrive at your destination. While we carefully plan every aspect of your retreat experience, international travel can sometimes bring unexpected circumstances that are beyond anyone's control.

For that reason, comprehensive travel insurance is required for all Altara Retreats participants.

Travel insurance protects both your investment and your travel experience should the unexpected occur before or during your retreat.

Coverage can help with expenses related to:

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Medical emergencies and emergency evacuation

  • Illness or injury while traveling

  • Lost, stolen, or delayed baggage

  • Flight delays or missed connections

  • Unexpected travel disruptions

Because many retreat expenses are paid to our international partners well in advance of your arrival, travel insurance provides an important layer of financial protection should unforeseen events affect your plans.

Our Recommended Travel Insurance Partner

To make the process simple, we've partnered with Faye Travel Insurance, a modern travel insurance provider designed specifically for today's travelers.

Faye offers straightforward digital claims, responsive customer support, and comprehensive coverage options that make it easy to travel with confidence.

Depending on the policy you choose, benefits may include:

  • Comprehensive trip cancellation and interruption coverage

  • Emergency medical and evacuation benefits

  • Coverage for baggage loss, theft, or delays

  • Flight delay and travel disruption protection

  • 24/7 travel assistance

  • Fast, app-based claims management and reimbursements

For travelers seeking additional flexibility, Faye also offers an optional "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) upgrade on eligible policies. This enhanced coverage can reimburse a significant portion of your prepaid, non-refundable trip costs if you choose to cancel for reasons not otherwise covered under a standard travel insurance policy.

Because CFAR coverage has specific eligibility requirements—including purchasing your policy within a limited time after making your initial trip deposit—we encourage purchasing your travel insurance as soon as you reserve your retreat.

Proof of Coverage

All participants are required to maintain valid travel insurance for the duration of the retreat.

Prior to departure, you may be asked to provide proof of coverage showing your policy is active for your travel dates.

Participants who choose not to obtain the required travel insurance may have their reservation canceled without refund in accordance with Altara Retreats' booking terms.

Why We Require Travel Insurance

Our travel insurance requirement is not simply a policy - it's part of our commitment to responsible, worry-free travel.

We want every guest to feel confident knowing they are protected should unexpected circumstances arise before or during their retreat. Comprehensive travel insurance helps safeguard your investment while ensuring you have access to support when you need it most, allowing you to focus on what matters most: immersing yourself fully in your retreat experience.

We look forward to welcoming you on your journey - with confidence, peace of mind, and the reassurance that you're prepared for whatever travel may bring.
